Every morning, my wife and I take a walk up to the barn to feed the animals. We bring the dogs after they’ve had their breakfast, and it’s always fun to watch them run around and interact with the sheep, who know it’s feeding time. This whole routine is surprisingly refreshing and really helps clear my mind. The other day, our vet, Dr. Ferguson, came by with her sonogram machine and gave us wonderful news: three ewes are pregnant! I’m guessing that on the chilliest winter nights, we’ll be right there in the barn, helping those ewes with their deliveries
This warm stretch gave me one last chance to pick tomatoes and a hearty bunch of Swiss chard before the first frost. As I wrap up this year’s garden, I’m already looking forward, imagining what I’ll grow next year.

Always love the designs, wishing in PA. Glad to see the animals this time. Makes me long for my kids sheep showing days, and when we raised our own. Lovely garden!
The animals keep me sane. Thanks!
