Island Storage

I really enjoy cooking.  Especially on the weekends, preparing dinner becomes a family affair in our home.  Someone is baking, someone is working on the main dish, others are preparing side dishes or some independent project that only they will eat.  Amid the chaos, there are ingredients coming out of the cabinets and pantry, mixers, pots, gadgets, a breadmaker, a pressure cooker, cookbooks, you name it are coming out of storage to help make the meal.  No place in our home is more storage intense than the kitchen.  The required items need to be easy to find and easy to put away.

When planning your next kitchen, imagine Thanksgiving dinner with a bunch of your relatives helping to cook the whole meal. If your kitchen can handle that, it can handle anything.
