Our Romney ewe, Snowflake, had two beautiful lambs last Sunday. The ‘Lucky Lucky’ part is that her water broke on a warm Sunday morning instead of it happening in the middle of the coldest night of the year like it often does.
Snowflake is a natural colored Romney which can be a mix of black, gray, silver and brown colors, unlike the rest of our Romney’s which are all white. From what I have been told, it is somewhat unusual to have a black and a white lamb in the same litter. All I know is that they are really cute.
While all the excitement happened in Snowflake’s pen, the rest of the animals went on with life as usual.

The new babies are sooo cute!
james, just love your little farm! and all your homes that you design!
I agree
Well, aren’t those the cutest creatures! Both of our Romneys only had mixed twins – males were white and females black, 3 out of 3 litters.
How much time do you all spend looking for excuses to pick them up and cuddle?
love the lambs…so sweet. how large will they get? right now they are apt.-sized! if you all are in the city, let us know as we would love to take you all to lunch. it can be quick and neighborhoody or long and leisurely. whatever suits.
best regards,
