Front Porch

Front Porch

Our client asked us to create a country retreat inspired by rural farm houses.  He wanted the home to be bright, open and to be a place where intimate dinner parties and large gatherings worked equally well.  We incorporated deep porches, some open and others screened, as a way to enjoy the beautiful landscape and wooded site.

The interior of the home has a modern feel with a window wall on one side of the double height living room.  The kitchen is the center of activity, opening to a large breakfast bay, a screened porch, and the living room.

We gave our client the look of a farm house with the livability of a modern home.
