ScareCrow

Sometimes you find a product that solves a problem better than anything you have tried before.  The ScareCrow Motion-Activated Animal Deterrent fits that description in my book.  For years I have sprayed stinky products on the hosta garden to keep the deer at bay.  Sooner or later they would always get use to the smell and then make a meal of my wife’s hostas.

Since I am the guardian of the garden, I was distraught over the battle I was losing.  After expressing my frustration at a job site meeting, my client asked if I had ever tried this nifty motion activated sprayer.  Well I ordered a couple immediately and have never looked back.  We go on vacation and sleep soundly knowing that these guys are watching over the hostas.  As soon as the deer get near, they shoot out  jets of water like sprinklers and away the deer run.

The only problem is snaking the garden hoses through the garden, but that’s a small price to pay to keep your plants from becoming dinner

This is so great! I had invented this years ago (in my head only), wishing such a thing existed…and it probably did. Thanks for this post, I’m new to your blog and love it. – Cheryl
